For Bobby

It has been 20 years now,
so what does time heal?
I’ll try to describe the way
that I feel.
I once had an angel,
that lived at my house.
A waif, he was once,
but for a moment he wasn’t.
He loved chocolate milk,
and being part of a family.
All the littlest things,
made him so happy!
B-ball and the sandbox
with buckets and trucks.
Taking baths,being dried off,
then powdered,and p.j.’d,
Ah, does it matter anymore?
It was hard to make sense,
of a little boy’s death,
but Bobby was murdered.
The last thing he said,
"One more kiss for you,
one more for you Mommy"
Then I felt the goosebumps,
as the car rode away.
A yellow rosebud appeared,
on the day he was buried.
Maybe time heals,somehow.
But we never forget,
Our memories are alive,
so private and quiet.
I can turn on at will,
and hear his sweet laugh,
so softly,
and it fades out.
His little light never will.

My dear Saint

I have a beautiful statue that stands about 2 foot tall, in my yard. It is of Saint Francis.
It is made out of concrete and I have been painting it. I will post my before and after pictures. But for now I wanted to share a link about him.

A Prayer

OneNewsNow.com – Latest Blogs

Try this marriage prayer for 30 days – see what happens!

From Pat Morley and David Delk and their new book The Marriage Prayer (Moody):

For Him:
“Father, I said, ‘Til death do us part’ – I want to mean it. Help me love You more than her, and her more than anyone or anything else. Help me bring her into You presence today. Make us one, like You are three-in-one. I want to hear her, cherish her, and serve her – So she would love You more and we can bring You glory. Amen.”

For Her:
“Father, I said, ‘Til death do us part’ – I want to mean it. Help me love You more than him, and him more than anyone or anything else. Help me bring him into Your presence today. Make us one, like you are three-in-one. I want to hear him, support him, and serve him – So he would love You more and we can bring You glory. Amen.”

The authors challenge couples to try this for 30 straight days and see how it impacts your marriage relationship!
